Ikhlaq Sidhu is an experienced educator, scholar, high technology executive, and innovator.

Previously, Professor Sidhu held faculty and center director appointments in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois. At UIUC he architected the curriculum and research agenda of a highly successful 1,000 student engineering entrepreneurship program.

Dr. Sidhu has also served in senior executive and technology leadership positions at U.S. Robotics Corporation, 3Com Corporation and Cambia Networks. He was awarded 3Com's "Innovator of the Year" award in 1999 and he has been granted over 50 US Patents in fundamental and broadly used areas of IP telephony, 3G wireless, data networks, and interfaces for personal digital assistants (PDAs). He was a founding member and Board Director of the SIP Forum organization.

Dr. Sidhu received his bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his masters' degree and doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
