Professor Glassey received his PhD from Cornell after serving in the Navy and working as an engineer for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, N.Y. He joined the IEOR faculty in 1965, and has done research in applications of mathematical optimization, and production planning and scheduling in the semiconductor industry. He has taught courses in information systems and in organizational behavior as well as robotics.
