: PC Laboratory Information
General Information
The PC laboratory is located in Etcheverry Hall, Room 1173.
Machines in this laboratory operate as clients to Microsoft Windows, run on the Windows XP Operating System and are loaded with the
software
listed below.
All machines have access to the Internet and the World Wide Web. From these machines you may quickly create a Word document, access email, or browse the Web.
All machines have USB ports, thus making it possible to backup your work and work on it from home if you have a flash drive.
All machines have been similarly configured and it is important that you are aware of the following:
- Pressing the <ctrl>, <alt>, & <del> keys simultaneously brings up a login screen.
Naming Folders
- All machines have a mapping to the server. Folders and files created on the Desktop and My Documents folder will be saved in your user profile on the server.
- Windows requires a logout process to be followed as your profile is saved on the server. It is important that the logout procedure complete to avoid file corruption.
Printing
Access Hours
During term, there are no access restrictions to holders of valid card-keys. However, Custodial Services have the authority to close the laboratory for nightly cleaning.
